Dr. Bandyopadhyay pursued four and half years' Post-doctoral research at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNC-ASR), Bangalore, after submitting his Doctoral Dissertation at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He worked at FIITJEE and Narayana IIT Academy, New Delhi, before joining Hooghly Engineering and Technology College (HETC). He is Member of the OSA, SPIE (USA), and, the IoP (UK).
